Rowdy Players Suspended by League
"I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of New York's Morgan Ensberg after a game between the Yankees and Rays, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however, both Ensberg and the Rays Jae Kuk Ryu will be suspended 6 games because of their actions. Ensberg is batting .146 this season in 14 games with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 41 at-bats.

Tampa Bay Loses Upton, Will Miss Season
Tampa Bay center fielder B.J. Upton could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured disc. He exited yesterday's Baltimore game after injuring himself while making a defensive play. The original diagnosis said Upton would be out 7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." A look at his 2008 stats shows Upton with a .313 average, 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has played in 12 games.
